University of Oregon's Envirnmental Leadership Program:

                                Restoring Connections

Restoring Connections is a branch of the 2016 Environmental Leadership Program at the University of Oregon. By creating and implementing a place-based, experiential environmental educational program, our goal is to combat the effects of nature deficit disorder by getting students outside and engaged in the natural world. Nature deficit disorder, the phrase created by Richard Louve, is the result of spending too much time inside and not connecting with the natural world.

Throughout this program we were able to get 142 young students out of the classroom and into the woods.

We created lesson plans to be used in the coming years for both field trips and in-class lessons.
